The proHRO Expert Workshop launches the proHRO network. We start with a first series of HRO community sessions. The proHRO Expert Workshop is scheduled right after the proHRO Conference on November 16th, 2011.
The proHRO Expert Workshop invites 40 to 50 professionals that have adopted High Reliability Organizing practices and/or have experience in Mindful organizing and/or do research on HRO topics. It will be facilitated by Prof. Kathleen Sutcliffe from Michigan University, Dr. Annette Gebauer from ICL and Dr. Bert Slagmolen from Apollo13.
Learning communities allow members to exchange knowledge and methods of HRO in more detail. These communities offer unique opportunities to have peer-to-peer discussions. We aim to have a mixed profile of participants e.g. managers with experience in HRO management, professionals and operators that apply HRO, consultants that work with HRO and Mindful organizing and scientist engaged in research in HRO fields of expertise.
The sessions also explore possibilities to develop the newly established network of professionals in HRO. The proHRO network supports cross-sector learning by discussing concrete cases, experiences, tools and techniques from different sectors and environments.
